Missing features / price too high

This could be a very nice app, yet I dont understand why your iPhone app has more to offer AND comes at a better price (2,39 €) !!! Please add - Dictionary of poses - Ongoing log of yoga practice - Other content that justifies the price in comparison to your iPhone app! Then Ill gladly rate this app with five stars :)

OK, but...

I want to give it 3,5 stars, but due to the limitations here Ill make it a 4. The app itself is nice, the exercises are strenuous and push me. I personally do not have a problem with the voice quality or the background music, actually i kind of like it. What is really annoying me, however, is that the app does not prevent the screensaver from popping up or the display going into energy saving mode. Nothing more silly than interrupting your exercise just to give the mouse a little push. I second the wish of a dictionary of poses. Sometimes it is hard to precisely identify what the instructor wants you to do, especially from a distance. If you fix that - 5 stars without doubt.

loved it

Loved it! great app, definatly worth the $5, what a work out!

great!

this app is great for yoga in the comfort of your own home (or wherever you choose, i guess)... not too much detail in the correct posture of the individual positions, so you might want to take a class or two to get detailed instructions on how to align your poses. but for those who are familliar with basic yoga poses its awesome! from 5 minute sets of sun salutations, to hour long classes its perfect for whatever youre goal is. been using it everyday, twice a day and i can notice major results, not only outside but inside i feel "cleaner" too.

Decent app

I think its a great app, just downloaded it today. My only suggestion and wish, is if there was anyway to slow down the "video" to be in poses longer before going into the next pose.

Very Challenging

I have been doing yoga for about a year now and this application has challenged me so much. Its great that you can choose your level, how long you want to practice, and what type of practice you would like to do. For only $5, this is almost better than any yoga class I have been to regarding how challenging it is. Definitely a great app.

Good Yoga App. for Beginner

As a beginner, the app seemed pretty good upon first try. Wish there were more instructions on the poses. Unable to locate the dictionary of 145 poses with correct posture and positioning. I think that particular detail applies to other versions of the app that are only available for other apple products such as the ipad and ipod touch.

Great!

I am a beginner and bought this because I wanted to increase my flexibility through yoga. After a few workouts I am already more flexible. I feel great after my workouts and look forward to the next. It is not too difficult for beginners either. I highly recommend this app!

well worth the money

I purchased this ap to practice yoga between my once per week yoga class. It has over 40 routines and is easy to follow.

Great

This app is great, easy to follow along and lots of poses. One thing I would change is the way the voice says "inhaaale", "exhaaale"; the way she says is it is funny and distracting when youre trying to relax!

Will not load

For some reason the app is unavailable. If that is the case I would like a refund!!

Could Be Better...

The thirty minute for beginners is pretty good, a bit challenging at times but overall it gets your heart rate up and really stretches you out. I have yet to try the hour session and the sun salutation a & b, however I have recently tried the 45 minute session for beginners and it was difficult, I found my self having to stop because the stretches were too much for my muscles. Im hesitant to try the 60 minute or even move to intermediate and expert...overall not bad, not very good at explaining poses:/

A Great Download!

Pocket yoga was definately worth the download! I have been frequenting both Sun Salutations as they are great for a quick yoga fix. The calming music is a great touch to the program, and really helps you to relax. I have yet to try the longer verions (ie. Desert, Mountain, etc.), but will do so promptly. The narration of this program is good, but is not great for absolute beginners. I recommend learning proper breathing techniques and correct posture in order to get the greatest benefit out of this program. Still, it is a very good program for improving flexability, even if youre not as interested in becomning a yogi and doing it more for the benefits! For me, the feature that would put this over the top would be if the pictures of the poses throughout the program were animated, thus flowing more smoothly. I find the transition between images to be a bit abrupt, but the narration makes up for it. I definately recommend downloading this app for beginners and advanced yogis alike!

Horrible voice with instructions

The stretches are too fast and the illustrastrations are very poor. Not worth the dollars spent.

Great yoga app

I have this app on my MacBook and on my iPad, and I use it almost daily -- definitely worth the money for me. The iPad version has a dictionary of poses which is useful (not in the Mac version).

Great flow yoga app

If youre looking for flow yoga, this is the app you want. This app describes the transition from one pose to the next, but the animations are a bit choppy. There are a lot of vinyasas (sun salutations) so you are constantly moving through these practices. This is the closes Ive come to replicating an actual yoga class. I just wish they would make Pocket Yoga Practice Builder for Mac so I could build my own practices on my computer. They have it for iPhone and iPad but not Mac - heres hoping its coming. If youve never done yoga before, you might want to get an app that fully decribes the poses or go to a yoga class first to get a handle on how to properly do the poses as this app doesnt give a lot of detail on how to do each pose. Great if you have yoga experience though! Also be prepared to flow through the poses fairly quickly - although most of them you go through multiple times so you can flow with your own breath if the app goes too fast for you. All in all, great app! Definitely worth the $4.99!!

Eh

I found the beginner’s classes moved very quickly, so quickly in some cases I couldn’t physically get into a pose before they’d moved to the next one. The real reason I gave this a low rating though: the way the narrator/instructor says “inhale” and “exhale” is so utterly annoying that it distracts from the practice. “Inhaaaaaele” “Exhaaaaeeeeele” over and over and over again. I’m just not overly impressed.

So simple!

This app is amazing! It will get you going on the mat every day! simple to follow, huge results after a month every day 2 times 60 minutes, alone I could not force myself to stay on the mat! but with this you will push on till you drop! also provides good timing for breathing, so you dont overhold one pose, very nice combinations of poses so you will be working your entire front and back groups of muscles, And recently it is now available on the mac laptop itself not only on iphone! Big Huge thank you to you guys! Pocket Yoga you have helped me a lot! I do sometimes wish though you had an option for a lazy routine, so it wouldnt switch poses every 4 seconds but maybe hold for 10 seconds each like in warm up start, but that is not so important as I could do that on my own anyway! Thanks again so much for this life saving app!

Not my favorite

This app is great if all you want to do is sun salutation but if you’re a yogi who likes a variety of different poses I suggest getting a different app. This one moves too fast for beginners and doesn’t offer enough variety for intermediate to advanced participants.

Love it!

It really recreates the experience of being in a yoga studio. This is the only yoga app Ive found where the practice really flows from one pose to the next. Highly recommended!
